Where do I buy my supplies?

I buy material, paper goods and pearl embellishments etc from China, for example these lovely washi tapes, 10 in a pack for  99 pence and no postage.

I often get sample paper pads and packs from Ebay like these :)  The cost is sometimes no more than 99 pence - £1.99

My one purchase on a shopping trip were these beautiful black butterfly embellishments : £1 from
 Hobbycraft.

Shop around and stay savvy with your crafting.

ATC time

Just love making ATC's, I have quite a collection, so much easier than any other art form.

Scraps of Chrismas paper, corrugated card, a metal embellishment and a paper rose from another ATC and cotton.

Card embellishment, typed words, cotton and button.

Halloween paper scrap, stamped and cut out cat and typed words.

A shabby little Christmas book

Hello lovelies, if you follow me on Facebook you will know my MOJO recently went missing, but I managed to find it again (this afternoon actually), so I decided to make a tiny shabby Christmas book.

It's an altered book, one I bought for a couple of quid, covered in Christmas papers, all distressing on the edges was done by a pair of scissors (not a fancy distress tool),  I dry painted on some black stamping ink and then just randomly stamped all over the pages.

The book measures 3.5 x 4.5 inches.

The Eagle has landed

We have moved again, this will be 11 times in 30 years!!  Wanderlust I think.
We opted for a retirement flat and we are slowly getting there....

Wynken Blynken and Nod - The age of innocence

On a recent trip to beautiful Rye in East Sussex I came across a sweet book shop called The Tiny Book Store.  Full of charm, I just couldn't resist going in.  If the weather had been cooler I would have stayed in there a lot longer, but after walking for what seemed miles, in intense heat and humidity, I was too hot and bothered to stay too long.  I did find two charming children's books.

This one from 1950 - Wynken Blynken and Nod, a book of poems with some lovely illustrations.

This tiny book called  "Dolls and how to make them" was published in 1949, it's a charming reminder of just how innocent children were.......and how the simple pleasure in making a rag doll was all that was required to keep your offspring happy.
